A“Lady Godiva”protest over Heysham M6 link

The proposed plans for the Heysham to M6 link road met protests in Halton village in Lancashire. The protesters of the village believe this would mean more traffic through the village. Halton village residents are tired of the last modifications introduced there and they protested against the plans by marching through Hamilton village and a man dressed as Lady Godiva was leading the march. The house of this man is located on the proposed route. Officials believe that they are taking the traffic away from that area.

My comment: it may be a good plan for reducing the traffic in that area because the small country roads are sometimes not safe enough and on holidays there is always traffic in the small villages. On the other hand many people prefer to drive through small country roads to enjoy the beautiful views of the village instead of taking high way.
